The metal rotor flowmeter stands out as one of the quintessential tools in both industrial and laboratory settings. This rotor flowmeter is ideal for measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

For the flawless operation of our metal rotor flowmeter, meticulous installation is crucial. Please consider the following installation guidelines:

(1) Ensure the flowmeter is installed vertically, allowing the measured fluid to flow from bottom to top. Maintain a straight pipe section with a length of five times the instrument diameter at both the inlet and outlet for optimal performance. For new pipelines, it is imperative to flush thoroughly before installation.

(2) Install a valve upstream of the flowmeter, and strategically place a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For small diameter instruments, an upstream filter is recommended. If magnetic materials are present in the measured medium, a magnetic filter should precede the flowmeter.

(3) To ensure ease of maintenance and facilitate quick replacements, incorporate a bypass pipeline during installation. This setup minimizes downtime and ensures continuous operation.

(4) In cases where the medium is particularly dirty, regular cleaning of both pipes and float is essential to maintain optimal functionality and precision of measurements.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter typically offers a measurement accuracy level of 1.5. Should your application demand higher precision, choosing an alternative meter with enhanced accuracy is advisable.
