The metal rotor flowmeter is one of the most commonly used flowmeters in industry and laboratories. It features a simple structure, intuitive operation, low pressure loss, and convenient maintenance. The rotor flowmeter is suitable for measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D < 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation Instructions
 

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is a variable area flow measuring instrument based on the measurement of the float position.

 It features an all-metal structure and a modular design concept. Due to its small size, low pressure loss, large range ratio (10:1),
and ease of installation and maintenance, it is widely used in various industries under complex and harsh environments
for flow and process control of small flow rates, low velocities, and various demanding medium conditions.



Proper installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is particularly important for its normal operation. Installation considerations:

(1) The flowmeter must be installed vertically, with the measured fluid flowing from bottom to top through the flowmeter. There should be a straight pipe section of five times the instrument diameter at both the inlet and outlet. For newly installed pipelines, the pipeline should be thoroughly flushed before installing the flowmeter.

(2) A valve should be installed upstream of the flowmeter, and a flow control valve should be installed 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For small diameter instruments, a filter should be installed upstream. If the measured medium contains magnetic materials, a magnetic filter should be installed before the flowmeter.

(3) To facilitate maintenance and replacement of the flowmeter, a bypass pipeline should be connected during the installation of the instrument.

 (4) When the measured medium is relatively dirty, the pipes and float should be cleaned in a timely manner.

 (5) The measurement accuracy of the metal rotor flowmeter is generally at a level of 1.5. If higher measurement accuracy is required, it is not advisable to choose a metal tube rotor flowmeter.
