This rotor flowmeter is ideal for accurately measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is an exceptional variable area flow measuring instrument meticulously crafted to measure the precise position of the float.

It boasts an all-metal structure paired with an innovative modular design concept. Its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and impressive large range ratio (10:1) make it a standout choice.
Thanks to its simplicity in installation and maintenance, this flowmeter is the go-to solution across a myriad of industries, even in the most complex and challenging environments.
Ideal for flow and process control of small flow rates and low velocities, it handles various demanding medium conditions with ease and precision.

Ensuring the flawless installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial for its optimal performance. Key installation considerations include:

(1) The flowmeter must always be installed in a vertical position, allowing the measured fluid to seamlessly flow from bottom to top. Ensure a straight pipe section, five times the instrument diameter, is present at both inlet and outlet points. For new pipeline installations, a thorough flush is necessary prior to flowmeter installation.

(2) An upstream valve is essential, complemented by a flow control valve placed 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For instruments with a smaller diameter, an upstream filter is a must. If the fluid contains magnetic materials, implementing a magnetic filter before the flowmeter is recommended.

(3) To ease maintenance and the replacement process, integrating a bypass pipeline during the instrument installation is advisable.

(4) Regular cleaning of pipes and the float is imperative if the measured medium is prone to dirt accumulation.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter generally maintains a measurement accuracy level of 1.5. Should there be a need for higher accuracy, opting for a different type of flowmeter is recommended.
