Installation Requirements

Piping condition
The installation of the Liquid Gas Vortex Flowmeter with Low Pressure Loss Technology requires specific pipe conditions. Ensure a straight pipe section both before and after the installation, as follows (D represents the pipe diameter):

The sensor must be mounted on a horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipe (with the liquid flowing from bottom to top) that matches the sensor's diameter. Ensure a straight pipe length of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream of the sensor.
2.
The pipe near the sensor must be filled with the liquid being measured.
3.
Avoid installing the sensor on pipes experiencing strong mechanical vibrations.
4.
Ensure the inner diameter of the straight pipe section closely matches the sensor's diameter. If the diameter differs, use a slightly larger pipe with an error margin of ≤3% and not exceeding 5mm. Avoid locations with strong electromagnetic interference, limited space, or inconvenient maintenance..
5.
Horizontal pipeline installation is the most common. For gas flows containing a small amount of liquid, install the sensor at a higher pipeline point. For liquid flows containing a small amount of gas, install the sensor at a lower pipeline point.
6.
In vertical pipelines, the sensor can be installed without flow direction constraints for gas. If the gas contains liquid, the flow should move from bottom to top. For liquid flow, install the sensor to flow from bottom to top to prevent additional weight on the probe.
7.
Side installation on horizontal pipelines is suitable for all fluids, especially for superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. If possible, side mounting is preferred to minimize temperature impact on the amplifier.
8.
Inverted horizontal pipeline installation is generally discouraged. It's unsuitable for general gases or superheated steam but can measure saturated steam and high-temperature liquids or in conditions requiring frequent pipeline cleaning.
9.
For high-temperature steam, the insulation layer should not exceed one-third of the bracket height when installing sensors on insulated pipelines.
10.
When measuring pressure and temperature near the sensor, position the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream, based on the measurement requirements.
