The ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter consists of two parts: a sensor and a converter. It operates based on Faraday's electromagnetic induction law and is designed to measure conductive fluids with utmost precision. The ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter stands as a high-precision, highly reliable product, continuously refined and advanced. It has reached a leading position domestically regarding excitation technology, lining technology, and intelligent features, adhering to standards such as JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007.

The installation of the Explosion Proof Electromagnetic Flowmeter with Good Repeatability and Easy Mounting from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. varies based on site pipeline conditions. Flowmeters without a ball valve should be installed on a non-pressurized pipeline, providing the flexibility of selecting flowmeters without a ball valve.
Drill a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to the pipeline opening.
For continuous flow requirements during loading and unloading or where media overflow is prohibited, a ball valve is essential. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.

The measurement principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter remains unaffected by the flow characteristics.
If turbulence and vortices arise in the non-measurement area of the pipeline (e.g., elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream), it will not impact the measurement.

However, steady-state vortices in the measurement area can compromise measurement stability and accuracy.
To address this, consider the following measures to stabilize flow distribution:

  1. Extend the length of the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream.
  2. Install a flow stabilizer.
  3. Reduce the cross-section at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the External Environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or exposure to high-temperature equipment radiation. If unavoidable, implement insulation and ventilation measures.
    2. Preferably, install the flowmeter indoors. If outdoor installation is necessary, protect it from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in environments with corrosive gases. If necessary, ensure proper ventilation.
    4. Ensure ample installation space around the flowmeter to facilitate installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. Avoid installing the flowmeter near magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. If the pipeline experiences significant vibration, provide supports on both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize it.

1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To minimize vortices and flow field distortions, adhere to specific requirements for the lengths of the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter; otherwise, measurement accuracy will suffer. Consider using a straightener and avoid installation near control valves and partially open valves.

2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes The flowmeter has specific requirements for upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point to ensure measurement accuracy. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should match that of the sensor and meet the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the sensor's inner diameter, and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure the seamless maintenance of the flowmeter, it is highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. This is especially critical for systems handling heavily contaminated fluids and instances where the flowmeter must be cleaned without halting the fluid flow. a. Facilitates easy maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Essential for systems with heavily contaminated fluids. c. Allows for cleaning the flowmeter without stopping the fluid flow.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections To maximize the accuracy and efficiency of the flowmeter, specific lengths for the straight pipe sections are crucial. Inlet straight pipe should be ≥ 10×DN; Outlet straight pipe should be ≥ 5×DN.

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points For the instrument to operate reliably and achieve high measurement accuracy, it is imperative that external parasitic potentials do not interfere with its operations. Thus, the sensor must be well-grounded, maintaining a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, an additional grounding device is unnecessary.)
