The metal rotor flowmeter is a staple in both industry and laboratory settings. Its simplicity, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and ease of maintenance make it ideal for measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is an innovative variable area flow measuring instrument premised on the precise measurement of the float position.

This sophisticated device showcases an all-metal structure alongside a modular design concept. Thanks to its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and an impressive range ratio of 10:1,
it is exceptionally simple to install and maintain, making it a preferred choice across various industries, even under challenging and harsh environmental conditions.
This flowmeter excels in the management and control of flow and processes involving small flow rates, low velocities, and a variety of demanding medium situations.

Correct installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial for ensuring optimal performance. Essential installation considerations include:

(1) Ensure the flowmeter is installed vertically, with the fluid to be measured flowing from bottom to top through the instrument. Maintain a straight pipe section five times the diameter of the instrument at both the inlet and outlet. For newly established pipelines, flush the pipeline thoroughly before installing the flowmeter.

(2) Install a valve upstream of the flowmeter and a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. In the case of small diameter instruments, incorporate a filter upstream. If the medium contains magnetic substances, install a magnetic filter in advance of the flowmeter.

(3) To aid in the maintenance and replacement process, connect a bypass pipeline during the installation of the instrument.

(4) If the medium being measured is particularly dirty, ensure regular cleaning of both the pipes and the float to maintain optimum performance.

(5) The measurement precision of the metal rotor flowmeter is typically at a level of 1.5. Should you need higher accuracy, consider alternatives to the metal tube rotor flowmeter.
