The metal rotor flowmeter is one of the most widely utilized flowmeters in both industrial and laboratory settings. It is renowned for its straightforward structure, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and convenient maintenance, making it ideal for measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

making it a preferred choice for seamless installation and hassle-free maintenance across a myriad of industries, even in the most challenging environments.
This flowmeter is the go-to solution for accurate flow and process control, especially when dealing with small flow rates, low velocities, and tough medium conditions.

Ensuring the proper installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial for optimal performance. Here are the key installation considerations:

(1) Ensure a vertical installation of the flowmeter, with the fluid measured flowing upwards from the base. It's essential to incorporate a straight pipe section equivalent to five times the instrument's diameter at both the entry and exit points. Prior to installing the flowmeter, newly laid pipelines should undergo a thorough flushing.

(2) Position a valve upstream of the flowmeter, while a flow control valve should be strategically placed 5 to 10 times the instrument's diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, include a filter upstream. If the medium contains magnetic particulates, integrate a magnetic filter ahead of the flowmeter.

(3) To simplify maintenance and replacement tasks, connect a bypass pipeline when setting up the instrument.

(4) For mediums that are particularly dirty, regular cleaning of pipes and the float is imperative to maintain efficient operations.

(5) Typically, the measurement accuracy of the metal rotor flowmeter is at 1.5. If your requirements call for higher precision, it might be prudent to consider alternatives to the metal tube rotor flowmeter.
