PACKING & SHIPPING
At Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., we are dedicated to ensuring that your ordered High Reliability Electromagnetic Flowmeter with Anti-Vibration and Output is delivered promptly and efficiently. Our commitment to timely and superior service means that you can rely on us to meet your specific requirements with the utmost precision and care. The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter varies depending on the site pipeline conditions. Flowmeters without a ball valve should be installed on a non-pressurized pipeline (i.e., a non-pressurized installation allows for the selection of flowmeters without a ball valve).
A hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be made in the pipeline, and preparations should be made to weld a connecting pipe to the opening in the pipeline.
For situations that require continuous flow during loading and unloading or where media overflow is not permitted, a ball valve must be added. This means selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
A hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be made in the pipeline, and preparations should be made to weld a connecting pipe to the opening in the pipeline.

The requirements for the straight pipe sections are 5D upstream and 3D downstream. This ensures the proper use of the electromagnetic flowmeter and meets the accuracy requirements.
The measurement principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter does not depend on the characteristics of the flow.
If there is a certain amount of turbulence and vortices generated in the non-measurement area of the pipeline (such as elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream), it will not affect the measurement.
However, if there are steady-state vortices in the measurement area, it will affect the stability and accuracy of the measurement.
In this case, some measures should be taken to stabilize the flow distribution:
1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter
2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, there are specific requirements for the lengths of the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter; otherwise, measurement accuracy will be affected. A straightener can also be installed, and it is advisable to avoid installation close to control valves and partially open valves.
2.2. Requirements for the Process Pipes The flowmeter has specific requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point; otherwise, measurement accuracy will be affected. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should be the same as that of the sensor and must meet the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the inner diameter of the sensor, and D is the inner diameter of the process pipe). b. The process pipe and the sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.
2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance of your flowmeter, it is highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. This is especially crucial for applications involving heavily contaminated fluids or scenarios where cleaning the flowmeter is necessary without halting fluid flow. a. Essential for facilitating the maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Mandatory installation for heavily contaminated fluids. c. Critical for scenarios where fluid flow cannot be interrupted during cleaning.
3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters
3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections For optimum performance, the flowmeter requires specific lengths of straight pipe sections at the inlet and outlet. Inlet straight pipe should be at least 10 times the diameter (10×DN) of the pipe, while the outlet straight pipe should be at least 5 times the diameter (5×DN).
3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points To guarantee the reliable operation of your instrument and enhance measurement accuracy, the system must be shielded from external parasitic potentials. Ensure the sensor is properly grounded, achieving a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a dedicated grounding device is not necessary.)
3.3. Requirements for Installation Position Refer to the accompanying diagram for precise installation positioning.
