The metal rotor flowmeter is a quintessential tool widely embraced in industrial and laboratory settings. Its simplicity, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and ease of maintenance make it ideal for measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The state-of-the-art metal rotor flowmeter is a versatile variable area flow measuring instrument that ingeniously measures the position of the float with precision.

Boasting a robust all-metal structure and an innovative modular design concept, it impresses with its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and an expansive range ratio of 10:1.
Its effortless installation and maintenance make it an ideal choice across a multitude of industries, even under the most demanding and complex environmental conditions.
Engineered for excellence, this flowmeter is perfect for controlling flow and processes involving small flow rates, low velocities, and challenging medium conditions.

To ensure optimal performance, the correct installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial. Key installation considerations include:

(1) Install the flowmeter vertically, ensuring the fluid flows from bottom to top. Maintain a straight pipe section equivalent to five times the instrument diameter at both the inlet and outlet. Thoroughly flush newly installed pipelines before setting up the flowmeter to ensure a clean environment.

(2) Position a valve upstream and ensure a flow control valve is placed 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, introduce a filter upstream. If dealing with magnetic materials in the medium, install a magnetic filter prior to the flowmeter for optimal performance.

(3) To facilitate ease of maintenance and seamless replacement, incorporate a bypass pipeline during installation.

(4) Ensure cleanliness by regularly cleaning the pipes and float, particularly when dealing with dirtier mediums.

(5) Generally achieving a measurement accuracy level of 1.5, if superior accuracy is demanded, alternative instruments may be more suitable than the metal tube rotor flowmeter.
