Piping Condition
The installation of the Easy Install Anti Vibration Vortex Flowmeter with Low Pressure Loss necessitates a certain length of straight pipe section before and after the sensor. The common situations are as follows (D is the diameter of the pipe):

The sensor should be mounted on a horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipe (with the liquid flowing from bottom to top) that matches the sensor’s diameter. Ensure a straight pipe length of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream of the sensor.

The pipe near the liquid sensor should be fully filled with the liquid being measured.

Avoid installing the sensor on a pipe that experiences strong mechanical vibrations.

The inner diameter of the straight pipe should closely match the sensor diameter. If not identical, use a slightly larger pipe with an error of ≤3% and not exceeding 5mm. Avoid installing the sensor in areas with strong electromagnetic interference, tight spaces, or inconvenient maintenance access..

Horizontal pipeline installation is most common. For gas flow with a small amount of liquid, install the sensor at a higher point in the pipeline. For liquid flow with a small amount of gas, install the sensor at a lower point.

For vertical pipeline installation, when measuring gas flow, the sensor can be installed on a vertical pipeline without a flow direction restriction. If gas contains liquid, ensure the flow is from bottom to top. For liquid flow, ensure the flow is from bottom to top to avoid extra weight on the probe.

For horizontal pipelines, side-mounting sensors is suitable for fluids such as superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. Side installation is preferred if conditions allow as it minimizes temperature impact on the amplifier.
8.
Inverted installation on horizontal pipelines is generally discouraged. It is unsuitable for general gases or superheated steam but can measure saturated steam and high-temperature liquids or in scenarios requiring frequent pipeline cleaning.
9.
When measuring high-temperature steam, ensure the insulation layer does not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
Select pressure and temperature measurement points based on requirements. Position the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream of the sensor and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream.
