For pipelines without a ball valve, it is crucial to install the flowmeter on a non-pressurized pipeline. This non-pressurized setup allows for the selection of flowmeters without a ball valve.
A 50mm diameter hole should be created in the pipeline, making it ready for welding a connecting pipe to the pipeline's opening.
In scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading/unloading or where media overflow is unacceptable, a ball valve must be integrated. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter featuring a ball valve structure.
A 50mm diameter hole should be created in the pipeline, and preparations made for welding a connecting pipe to the opening in the pipeline.

The straight pipe sections must be 5D upstream and 3D downstream. This configuration ensures the optimal functionality of the electromagnetic flowmeter, maintaining its accuracy standards.
The operational principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter is independent of the flow characteristics.
If turbulence and vortices arise in the non-measurement area of the pipeline (e.g., near elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream), they will not impact measurement accuracy.
However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area may compromise stability and measurement precision.
To address this, consider measures to stabilize the flow distribution:
1.2. Pipeline-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeter
2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To counteract vortices and flow field distortion, adhere to specific length requirements for the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter. Measurement accuracy will suffer if these guidelines are not followed. Installation near control valves and partially open valves should be avoided, and a straightener can be installed as an additional measure.
2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes The flowmeter's installation point imposes specific requirements on the upstream and downstream process pipes to ensure measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameter of both upstream and downstream process pipes should match the sensor's inner diameter, falling within: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (DN being the sensor's inner diameter, and D being the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.
2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance and longevity of our High Reliability Flowmeter with Wireless Transmission and Anti-Vibration Technology, it is highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. This is particularly crucial for fluids carrying heavy contaminants and scenarios where the flowmeter needs to be cleaned without interrupting the fluid flow. a. Facilitates easy maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Essential for heavily contaminated fluids. c. Allows cleaning of the flowmeter without halting fluid flow.
3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters
3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections For optimal performance of our insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeters, ensure the inlet and outlet straight pipe sections adhere to the following guidelines: Inlet should be at least 10 times the nominal diameter (≥ 10×DN); Outlet should be at least 5 times the nominal diameter (≥ 5×DN).
3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points To guarantee the reliable operation and enhanced measurement accuracy of the instrument, it must be insulated from external parasitic potentials. The sensor must be properly grounded, with a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a separate grounding device is not necessary.)
