Piping Condition
For optimal performance, the installation of the High Performance Vortex Flowmeter for Steam with Low Pressure Loss from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. requires a specific length of straight pipe sections before and after the sensor. The typical configurations are as follows (D represents the pipe diameter):

Install the sensor on horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipes (with liquid flowing upwards) that match the sensor's diameter. Ensure straight pipe sections of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream of the sensor.

Ensure the pipe near the sensor is fully filled with the liquid being measured.
3.
Avoid installing the sensor on pipes with strong mechanical vibrations.

The inner diameter of straight pipe sections should match the sensor diameter as closely as possible. If a larger diameter pipe is necessary, the deviation should be ≤3% and not exceed 5mm. Do not install the sensor in areas with strong electromagnetic interference, limited space, or inconvenient maintenance access..

Horizontal pipeline installation is most common. For gas flows containing small amounts of liquid, place the sensor at a higher point in the pipeline. For liquid flows containing small amounts of gas, install the sensor at a lower point in the pipeline.

For vertical pipelines, install the sensor without flow direction restrictions for gas. If the gas contains liquid, flow should be from bottom to top. For liquid flows, ensure the flow is from bottom to top to avoid additional weight on the probe.

Sensors can be side-mounted on horizontal pipelines for any fluid, especially superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. Side mounting minimizes temperature impact on the amplifier when feasible.
8.
Inverted sensor installation on horizontal pipelines is generally not recommended. It is unsuitable for most gases or superheated steam but can be used for saturated steam or high-temperature liquids requiring frequent pipeline cleaning.
9.
When measuring high-temperature steam, ensure the insulation layer on the pipeline does not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
For pressure and temperature measurements, locate the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream of the sensor and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream.
