The installation of the Explosion Proof Electromagnetic Flowmeter with High Precision and Easy Mounting from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. varies based on the site pipeline conditions. For flowmeters without a ball valve, ensure installation on a non-pressurized pipeline, making them an ideal choice for such applications.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to the opening for secure installation.
In scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading/unloading, or where media overflow is not permissible, it is essential to add a ball valve. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a robust ball valve structure.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline and make preparations to weld a connecting pipe to this opening.

If turbulence and vortices are generated in the non-measurement areas of the pipeline (such as elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream), it will not impact measurement accuracy.

However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area can disrupt stability and precision.
To stabilize flow distribution in such cases, consider the following measures:

  1. Increase the length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
  2. Implement a flow stabilizer.
  3. Reduce the cross-section at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the External Environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations or exposure to high-temperature radiation from equipment. If unavoidable, implement adequate insulation and ventilation.
    2. Indoor installation is preferable. If outdoor installation is necessary, protect the flowmeter from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight by implementing moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid environments with corrosive gases. If installation in such conditions is necessary, ensure proper ventilation measures.
    4. Ensure ample space around the flowmeter to facilitate installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. The installation site should be free from magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. In case of significant pipeline vibration, support the pipeline on both sides of the flowmeter.

1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To counteract the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, adhere to specific requirements for the upstream and downstream lengths of the straight pipe sections. This precision will maintain measurement accuracy (install a straightener and avoid proximity to control valves and partially open valves).

2.2. Requirements for the Process Pipes The flowmeter has stringent requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point. Adherence is crucial for accurate measurement: a. The inner diameter of these pipes should match that of the sensor, within the range: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the sensor's inner diameter, and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. Ensure the process pipe and sensor are concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance of the flowmeter, it is highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. Specifically, in scenarios involving heavily contaminated fluids or when it is necessary to clean the flowmeter without halting the fluid flow, a bypass pipe is imperative. a. Facilitates the maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Essential for heavily contaminated fluids. c. Ensures the fluid flow remains uninterrupted during the cleaning process of the flowmeter.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections Inlet/Outlet Straight Pipe Sections: The inlet should be at least 10 times the diameter of the nominal diameter (DN); the outlet should be at least 5 times DN.

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points To guarantee the reliable performance of the instrument and enhance measurement precision, it must be shielded from external parasitic potentials. The sensor must be well-grounded, with a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline has adequate grounding, a dedicated grounding device is not necessary.)
