Harnessing the principles of Faraday's electromagnetic induction law, it measures conductive fluids with unparalleled precision. This innovative flow meter, continually refined through cutting-edge advancements, stands at the forefront of national standards in excitation, lining, and intelligent technologies. It adheres to rigorous standards including JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.

Installation Instructions
 

The installation of the High Precision Electromagnetic Flowmeter with 4-20mA from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. varies based on site pipeline conditions. For pipelines without a ball valve, select a flowmeter suitable for non-pressurized installation.
A hole with a diameter of 50mm should be made in the pipeline, followed by welding a connecting pipe to this opening.
For applications requiring continuous flow during loading and unloading or where media overflow is not permitted, a ball valve must be added. This necessitates choosing an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.

Ensure the straight pipe sections are 5D upstream and 3D downstream. This setup guarantees optimal performance and measurement accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

The measurement principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter is independent of the flow's characteristics.
If turbulence and vortices are generated in the pipeline's non-measurement area (e.g., elbows, tangential throttling, partially open shut-off valves), they will not affect the measurement accuracy.

However, steady-state vortices in the measurement area can compromise stability and accuracy.
To counteract this, implement measures to stabilize flow distribution:

  1. 1. Increase the length of the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream.
  2. 2. Utilize a flow stabilizer.
  3. 3. Reduce the cross-section at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the External Environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in places with significant temperature fluctuations or where it is exposed to high-temperature radiation. If unavoidable, use insulation and ventilation measures.
    2. Preferably, install the flowmeter indoors. If outdoor installation is necessary, protect it from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in environments with corrosive gases. If necessary, ensure proper ventilation measures are implemented.
    4. Ensure ample installation space around the flowmeter for easy installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. Avoid installing the flowmeter near magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. If there is significant pipeline vibration, support both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize the system.

1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Straight Section Requirements To reduce vortices and flow field distortion, specific lengths for the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter are required. If these lengths are not met, measurement accuracy will suffer (a straightener can be installed, and installation near control valves or partially open valves should be avoided).

2.2. Process Pipes Requirements The flowmeter has specific requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation site. Failure to meet these can affect measurement accuracy. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes must match the sensor's inner diameter (0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN, where DN is the sensor's inner diameter and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance, installing a bypass pipe for the flowmeter is highly recommended. This is crucial for systems dealing with heavily contaminated fluids or requiring flowmeter cleaning without halting fluid flow. a. Bypass pipes facilitate easy maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Mandatory installation for heavily contaminated fluids. c. Essential for cleaning the flowmeter without stopping fluid flow.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections For optimal performance, ensure the following straight pipe sections: Inlet pipe should be at least 10 times the Pipe Diameter (≥ 10×DN). Outlet pipe should be at least 5 times the Pipe Diameter (≥ 5×DN).

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points Reliable instrument operation and accurate measurements demand robust grounding to avoid external parasitic potentials. The sensor must have excellent grounding, maintaining a resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline has sufficient grounding, an additional dedicated grounding device is unnecessary.)
