The metal rotor flowmeter is one of the most prevalent tools in both industry and laboratories, thanks to its simple structure, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and ease of maintenance. It is particularly suitable for accurately measuring small flow rates in pipelines with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

The metal rotor flowmeter is an exceptional variable area flow measuring instrument, finely crafted to determine the flow through the precise measurement of the float position.

Boasting an all-metal structure and a cutting-edge modular design concept, it impresses with its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and an extensive range ratio of 10:1.
Effortlessly easy to install and maintain, this flowmeter is the preferred choice across diverse industries, proving its resilience even in the most challenging and demanding environments.
Ideal for the meticulous control of small flow rates and low velocities, it conquers various demanding medium conditions, ensuring uncompromised precision in flow and process management.

Achieving optimal performance begins with the meticulous installation of the metal rotor flowmeter. Key considerations for successful installation:

(1) The flowmeter should be installed vertically, allowing the measured fluid to flow seamlessly from bottom to top. Ensure a straight pipe section, five times the instrument's diameter, at both inlet and outlet. For newly installed pipelines, a thorough flushing is essential prior to installation.

(2) Strategically place a valve upstream of the flowmeter, with a flow control valve situated 5 to 10 times the instrument's diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, install a filter upstream. If encountering magnetic materials, incorporate a magnetic filter ahead of the flowmeter.

(3) To streamline maintenance and ensure easy replacement, integrate a bypass pipeline when installing the instrument.

(4) In scenarios where the medium is particularly dirty, prioritize regular cleaning of pipes and float to maintain optimal function.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter typically offers a measurement accuracy level of 1.5. For applications demanding heightened precision, alternative measuring solutions should be considered over the metal tube rotor flowmeter.
