The metal rotor flowmeter is a staple in industry and laboratories, known for its simple yet effective structure, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and easy maintenance. Ideal for measuring low flow rates in smaller diameter pipes.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is a state-of-the-art variable area flow measuring instrument, expertly designed to precisely measure the position of the float.

It boasts an all-metal structure complemented by a sophisticated modular design concept. Its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and impressive large range ratio (10:1)
make it an ideal choice for diverse industries, especially in complex and harsh environments. Its ease of installation and maintenance further enhances its appeal.
Engineered for excellence, it excels in flow and process control of small flow rates, low velocities, and various challenging medium conditions.

Proper installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial to ensure impeccable and uninterrupted operation. Consideration must be given to the following installation guidelines:

(1) Ensure that the flowmeter is installed vertically, allowing the measured fluid to flow seamlessly from bottom to top. A straight pipe section, five times the diameter of the instrument, should be present at both the inlet and outlet. Before installation, newly laid pipelines must be thoroughly flushed.

(2) Install a valve upstream of the flowmeter, and position a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, an upstream filter is essential. If magnetic materials are present in the measured medium, a magnetic filter should precede the flowmeter.

(3) To streamline maintenance and enable hassle-free replacement, incorporate a bypass pipeline during the instrument installation.

(4) In cases where the measured medium is particularly dirty, both pipes and float should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal function.

(5) The measurement accuracy of the metal rotor flowmeter typically stands at a commendable level of 1.5. However, if superior measurement precision is demanded, it's advisable not to select a metal tube rotor flowmeter.
