Flowmeters without a ball valve should be installed on non-pressurized pipelines, allowing for the selection of such flowmeters without the need for a ball valve.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to the opening, ensuring a secure and effective installation.
For applications requiring continuous flow during loading/unloading or where media overflow is unacceptable, incorporate a ball valve by selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.

The measurement principle of our electromagnetic flowmeter is independent of flow characteristics, ensuring reliable performance.
Even with turbulence or vortices in the non-measurement area (e.g., elbows, tangential throttling, or partially open shut-off valves upstream), measurement accuracy remains unaffected.
However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area can impact stability and accuracy, demanding corrective measures.
Implement the following measures to stabilize the flow distribution:
1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter
2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To counteract vortices and flow field distortion, follow specific length requirements for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. Alternatively, use a straightener and avoid installations near control valves and partially open valves.
2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes There are specific requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point to ensure measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameters of the upstream and downstream process pipes must match the sensor's inner diameter, adhering to 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN. b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.
2.3. Requirements for bypass pipes To ensure seamless maintenance and optimal performance of the flowmeter, installing a bypass pipe is highly recommended. In scenarios involving heavily contaminated fluids or when the flowmeter requires cleaning without halting fluid flow, a bypass pipe is essential. a. Eases the maintenance process for the flowmeter. b. Crucial for handling heavily contaminated fluids. c. Enables cleaning of the flowmeter without interrupting fluid flow.
3. Installation requirements for insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeters To guarantee the accurate and reliable performance of our High Precision Electromagnetic Flowmeter, specific installation requirements must be followed.
3.1. Requirements for straight pipe sections For proper function and measurement accuracy, ensure the following straight pipe sections: Inlet: Minimum length should be ≥ 10×DN; Outlet: Minimum length should be ≥ 5×DN.
3.2. Requirements for grounding points To ensure the precise and reliable operation of the instrument, it is imperative to have robust grounding that minimizes the influence of external parasitic potentials. The sensor must have excellent grounding with a resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a dedicated grounding device may not be necessary.)
3.3. Requirements for installation position The installation position should be strictly in accordance with the provided diagram to ensure optimal performance.
