The installation of the Thread Electromagnetic Flowmeter with Good Repeatability and Wireless Transmission from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. varies depending on the site pipeline conditions. Flowmeters without a ball valve should be installed on a non-pressurized pipeline, allowing for the selection of flowmeters without a ball valve.
A precise hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be made in the pipeline. Ensure preparations are in place to weld a connecting pipe to this opening.
In scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading and unloading or where media overflow is strictly prohibited, a ball valve must be added. This necessitates the selection of an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
A precise hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be made in the pipeline. Ensure preparations are in place to weld a connecting pipe to this opening.

Turbulence and vortices generated in the non-measurement area of the pipeline, such as elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream, do not impact the accuracy of measurements.

However, steady-state vortices in the measurement area will affect the stability and accuracy of the readings.
In such cases, consider these measures to stabilize flow distribution:

  1. Increase the length of the straight pipe sections both upstream and downstream.
  2. Utilize a flow stabilizer.
  3. Reduce the cross-section at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the External Environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or where it may be exposed to high-temperature radiation from equipment. If installation in such areas is necessary, implement insulation and ventilation measures.
    2. Ideally, install the flowmeter indoors. If outdoor installation is unavoidable, ensure it is protected from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight. Implement appropriate moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in environments containing corrosive gases. If necessary, ensure proper ventilation measures are in place.
    4. To facilitate installation, maintenance, and upkeep, make sure there is ample space around the flowmeter.
    5. The installation site should be free from magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. If the pipeline experiences significant vibration, provide supports on both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize it.

1.2. Pipeline-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, adhere to specific requirements for the lengths of the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter to maintain measurement accuracy. Installing a straightener is advisable, and avoid placing it close to control valves or partially open valves.

2.2. Requirements for the Process Pipes Ensure the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point meet specific requirements to maintain measurement accuracy. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should match the sensor's diameter and meet the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the sensor's inner diameter, and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and the sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance and optimal performance of the flowmeter, installing a bypass pipe is highly recommended. This setup is crucial, especially for handling heavily contaminated fluids and situations where uninterrupted fluid flow is necessary during cleaning. a. Facilitates the maintenance of the flowmeter effortlessly. b. Essential for managing heavily contaminated fluids efficiently. c. Enables cleaning of the flowmeter without halting the fluid flow.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections Inlet/Outlet Straight Pipe Sections: To maintain precision, ensure the inlet has a straight pipe section of ≥ 10×DN and the outlet has a straight pipe section of ≥ 5×DN.

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points For optimal performance and measurement accuracy, the sensor should be well-grounded to avoid external parasitic potentials. Ensure the grounding resistance is below 10. If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a dedicated grounding device is not necessary.

3.3. Requirements for Installation Position Please refer to the diagram for the precise installation position.
