Installation Requirements

Piping condition
For optimal performance of the Anti Vibration Gas Vortex Flowmeter with Low Pressure Loss Design, it is essential to adhere to specific straight pipe section guidelines both upstream and downstream of the installation. The common requirements are as follows (where D denotes the pipe diameter):

1.
Install the sensor on a horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipe (with the liquid flowing from bottom to top) that matches the sensor's diameter. Ensure a straight pipe length of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream.
2.
Ensure the pipe near the liquid sensor is fully filled with the liquid being measured.
3.
Avoid installing the sensor on pipes subject to strong mechanical vibrations.
4.
The inner diameter of the straight pipe should closely match the sensor's diameter. If not possible, use a slightly larger diameter pipe with an error margin of ≤3% and not exceeding 5mm. Do not install in areas with strong electromagnetic interference, limited space, or inconvenient maintenance..
5.
Horizontal pipeline installation is most common. For gas flow measurement containing small amounts of liquid, install the sensor at a higher point. For liquid flow containing small amounts of gas, install the sensor at a lower point.
6.
Vertical pipeline installation. For gas flow measurement, install the sensor on a vertical pipeline, with no restriction on flow direction. If the gas contains a small amount of liquid, the flow should be from bottom to top. For liquid flow, the liquid should flow from bottom to top to prevent additional probe weight.
7.
Side installation on horizontal pipelines is possible for any fluid, especially superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. Side mounting is preferred to minimize temperature impact on the amplifier.
8.
Inverted sensor installation on horizontal pipelines is generally discouraged. It is not suitable for general gases or superheated steam but can be used for saturated steam, high-temperature liquids, or frequently cleaned pipelines.
9.
When measuring high-temperature steam, ensure the insulation layer does not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
For pressure and temperature measurements near the sensor, place the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream.
