Essential Installation Prerequisites

Optimal Piping Conditions
To ensure optimal performance of the Easy Install Vortex Flowmeter for High Temperature Gas and Liquid, certain straight pipe sections are required before and after installation. The typical scenarios are outlined below (D represents the diameter of the pipe):

Position the sensor on a horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipe (with upward liquid flow) matching the sensor's diameter. Ensure a straight pipe length of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream.
2.
Ensure the pipe near the sensor is completely filled with the liquid being measured.
3.
Avoid installing the sensor on pipes with significant mechanical vibrations.
4.
The inner diameter of the straight pipe should closely match the sensor's diameter. If not feasible, a slightly larger diameter (within ≤3% and not more than 5mm) is acceptable. Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic interference, restricted space, or challenging maintenance conditions..
5.
For gas with minimal liquid content, install the sensor at the highest point on a horizontal pipeline. For liquid with minimal gas content, position the sensor at the lowest point on the pipeline.
6.
For vertical pipelines, install the sensor without flow direction constraints. Gas flow containing liquid should move from bottom to top. For liquid flow, ensure upward direction to prevent additional probe weight.
7.
Side-mount sensors on horizontal pipelines are ideal for superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. Side installation limits temperature impacts on the amplifier.
8.
Inverted sensor installations on horizontal pipelines are generally inadvisable, except for saturated steam or high-temperature liquids where frequent cleaning is required.
9.
For high-temperature steam, the insulation layer should not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
When pressure and temperature measurements are necessary, position the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream of the sensor.
