The metal rotor flowmeter is a staple in both industrial and laboratory settings, known for its straightforward design, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and easy maintenance. It is ideally suited for measuring small flow rates in pipelines with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is an advanced variable area flow measuring instrument that operates by detecting the precise position of the float.

Engineered with an all-metal structure and a modular design ethos, it boasts a compact size, minimal pressure loss, an impressive range ratio of 10:1,
and is celebrated for its effortless installation and maintenance. This makes it an ideal choice across diverse industries, even in the most challenging and severe environments.
It excels in flow and process control, adeptly handling small flow rates, low velocities, and a broad spectrum of demanding medium conditions.

To ensure the optimal functionality of your metal rotor flowmeter, careful and correct installation is crucial. Installation considerations include:

(1) For proper operation, install the flowmeter in a vertical orientation, allowing the fluid to move from bottom to top. Ensure a straight pipe section of five times the instrument's diameter exists at both inlet and outlet points. Thoroughly clean newly installed pipelines prior to flowmeter installation.

(2) Position a valve upstream of the flowmeter and a flow control valve downstream, spaced 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter. For smaller diameter instruments, include a filter upstream. If the medium contains magnetic particles, pre-install a magnetic filter.

(3) Facilitate maintenance and easy replacement by integrating a bypass pipeline during the flowmeter installation.

(4) If the medium is prone to contamination, conduct regular cleaning of both pipes and float to maintain efficiency.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter generally achieves a measurement accuracy level of 1.5. For superior measurement accuracy, opting for a different type of flowmeter might be necessary.
