Piping Condition
The installation of the Accurate Vortex Flowmeter requires specific straight pipe sections before and after the meter. The common configurations are as follows (D is the diameter of the pipe):
1.
Install the sensor on a horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipe (with the liquid flowing from bottom to top) that matches the sensor's diameter. Ensure a straight pipe section of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream of the sensor.
2.
Ensure the pipe near the liquid sensor is fully filled with the liquid being measured.
3.
Avoid installing the sensor on pipes with strong mechanical vibrations.
4.
The inner diameter of the straight pipe section should ideally match the sensor's diameter. If necessary, use a slightly larger pipe with an error margin of ≤3%, not exceeding 5mm. Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic interference, confined spaces, or where maintenance is inconvenient..
5.
Horizontal pipeline installation is the most common method. For gas with small liquid amounts, place the sensor at a higher point; for liquids with small gas amounts, at a lower point.
6.
Vertical pipeline installation can be used for gas flow in any direction. If gas contains liquid, flow should be bottom to top. For liquids, ensure flow is bottom to top to minimize probe weight.
7.
Side installation on horizontal pipelines can be used for all fluids, particularly superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. Side mounting is preferred to reduce temperature effects on the amplifier.
8.
Inverted installation on horizontal pipelines is generally discouraged. It's not suitable for general gases or superheated steam but can be used for saturated steam and high-temperature liquids, or where frequent pipe cleaning is required.
9.
When measuring high-temperature steam, ensure the insulation layer does not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
For pressure and temperature measurements near the sensor, place the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream, and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream of the sensor.
