The metal rotor flowmeter stands as a pillar in industrial and laboratory settings, celebrated for its simple yet effective structure, straightforward operation, minimal pressure loss, and easy maintenance. It is perfectly suited for measuring small flow rates in pipelines with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is a sophisticated variable area flow measuring instrument, distinguished by its precision in capturing the float position.

It boasts an all-metal structure and a modular design, ensuring durability and adaptability. Thanks to its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and impressive range ratio (10:1),
paired with effortless installation and maintenance, it finds extensive application across a multitude of industries, even in complex and challenging environments,
making it ideal for regulating flow and process control in scenarios demanding small flow rates, low velocities, and unique medium conditions.

Ensuring the proper installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial for its optimal performance. Key installation considerations include:

(1) The flowmeter must be mounted vertically, ensuring the fluid flows from bottom to top. Maintain a straight pipe section of five times the instrument diameter at both inlet and outlet. For newly installed pipelines, ensure thorough flushing before flowmeter installation.

(2) Install a valve upstream and a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For smaller diameters, include a filter upstream. If magnetic materials are present in the medium, a magnetic filter is required before the flowmeter.

(3) Connect a bypass pipeline during installation to allow easy maintenance and replacement of the flowmeter.

(4) If the medium is particularly dirty, ensure timely cleaning of pipes and the float to maintain operational efficiency.

(5) With a general measurement accuracy of 1.5, the metal rotor flowmeter suits many applications. However, for higher precision, consider alternative flowmeters instead of a metal tube rotor flowmeter.
