The metal rotor flowmeter, a marvel of engineering, is a variable area flow measuring instrument that expertly measures fluid flow based on the precise position of a float.

With its robust all-metal structure and innovative modular design, this flowmeter boasts a compact form, ensuring minimal pressure loss while delivering a remarkable range ratio of 10:1.
Its ease of installation and maintenance makes it a go-to choice across various industries, even in the most demanding and challenging environments.
Ideal for flow and process control, it excels in managing small flow rates, low velocities, and accommodating the most stringent medium conditions.

Ensuring the metal rotor flowmeter is installed correctly is crucial for optimal performance. Key installation considerations are outlined below:

(1) Install the flowmeter vertically, allowing the fluid to travel from bottom to top. Ensure there is a straight pipe section, five times the instrument diameter, both before the inlet and after the outlet. For new pipelines, perform a comprehensive flush prior to flowmeter installation.

(2) Place a valve upstream of the flowmeter and a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, install a filter upstream. If magnetic materials are present in the fluid, a magnetic filter is recommended before the flowmeter.

(3) To ease maintenance and facilitate flowmeter replacement, incorporate a bypass pipeline during installation.

(4) For media that are relatively dirty, it is essential to clean the pipes and float regularly to maintain efficiency.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter offers a measurement accuracy generally rated at 1.5. For applications demanding higher precision, alternative flowmeters should be considered.
