This flow meter stands as a paragon of high precision and reliability, thanks to ongoing upgrades and improvements. Installation Instructions
 

The installation of Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.'s Wireless Electromagnetic Flowmeter with High Reliability and Good Repeatability varies depending on site-specific pipeline conditions. Flowmeters without a ball valve should be installed on non-pressurized pipelines, allowing for a selection of flowmeters without a ball valve.
To accommodate the flowmeter, a 50mm diameter hole should be made in the pipeline, followed by welding a connecting pipe to the opening.
For scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading and unloading, or where media overflow is unacceptable, a ball valve must be incorporated, necessitating the use of an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to the opening for proper installation.

The installation requires maintaining straight pipe sections of 5D upstream and 3D downstream to ensure the proper functioning and accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

The measurement principle of this advanced electromagnetic flowmeter remains unaffected by the flow characteristics.
Even if turbulence and vortices are generated in non-measurement areas of the pipeline (due to elbows, tangential throttling, or partially open shut-off valves upstream), the measurement remains unaffected.

However, the presence of steady-state vortices in the measurement area can impact measurement stability and accuracy.
In such cases, measures should be taken to stabilize the flow distribution:

  1. Increase the length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
  2. Use a flow stabilizer to maintain a consistent flow.
  3. Reduce the cross-section of the measurement point if feasible.
  1. Requirements for the External Environment
    1. The flowmeter should be installed away from areas with significant temperature fluctuations or exposure to high-temperature radiation from equipment. If installation is unavoidable, employ insulation and ventilation measures.
    2. Indoor installation is ideal. If outdoor installation is necessary, ensure the flowmeter is protected from rain, flooding, direct sunlight, and incorporate moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in environments with corrosive gases. If installation is necessary, implement proper ventilation measures.
    4. Ensure ample installation space around the flowmeter to facilitate easy installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. The installation site should avoid areas with magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. If pipeline vibration is significant, support the pipeline on both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize it.

1.2. Pipeline-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate vortex effects and flow field distortion, adhere to specific lengths for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections; otherwise, measurement accuracy will be compromised (installing a straightener and avoiding proximity to control valves and partially open valves is advisable).

2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes The flowmeter has strict requirements for upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point to ensure measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameter of these pipes should match that of the sensor, meeting the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the sensor's inner diameter, and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance and uninterrupted operation of your flowmeter, it's highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. This is especially crucial for handling heavily contaminated fluids and scenarios where the flowmeter requires cleaning without halting the fluid flow. a. Facilitates maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Essential for managing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Enables cleaning of the flowmeter while keeping the fluid flow uninterrupted.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections Optimal performance necessitates precise straight pipe sections: The inlet straight pipe should be at least 10 times the diameter (10×DN), and the outlet straight pipe should be at least 5 times the diameter (5×DN).

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points For ensuring the reliable operation of your instrument and achieving high measurement accuracy, it is vital to mitigate the influence of external parasitic potentials. The sensor must be well-grounded, with grounding resistance below 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline is adequately grounded, a dedicated grounding device may not be necessary.)

3.3. Requirements for Installation Position As illustrated in the accompanying diagram, proper positioning is crucial for optimal performance.
