The metal rotor flowmeter remains a cornerstone in both industrial and laboratory settings due to its simplistic design, intuitive operation, minimal pressure loss, and ease of maintenance. It is exceptionally well-suited for measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Engineered for excellence, it deftly manages small flow rates and low velocities, while meeting the rigorous demands of varying medium conditions.

For seamless operation, the metal rotor flowmeter's installation is pivotal. Key considerations for optimal performance include:

(1) Ensure a vertical alignment for the flowmeter, allowing the fluid to ascend from bottom to top. Maintain a straight pipe section equal to five times the instrument diameter at both entry and exit points. Prior to installation on new pipelines, a comprehensive flush is essential.

(2) Position a valve upstream of the flowmeter, while a flow control valve should be located 5 to 10 times the instrument's diameter downstream. Install a filter upstream for smaller diameter instruments, and if magnetic materials are present in the medium, a magnetic filter is a necessity.

(3) For simplified maintenance and easy flowmeter replacement, incorporate a bypass pipeline during installation.

(4) In scenarios where the medium is contaminated, ensure timely cleaning of both the pipes and the float to maintain optimal functionality.

(5) With a standard measurement accuracy level of 1.5, the metal rotor flowmeter serves most needs, though for precision beyond this, consider alternative measuring solutions.
