It adheres to stringent standards including JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007, assuring top-tier performance.

Installation Instructions
 

The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter depends on the specific pipeline conditions at the site. For flowmeters without a ball valve, they should be mounted on a non-pressurized pipeline. This non-pressurized installation allows for the selection of flowmeters without a ball valve.
A hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be created in the pipeline, followed by meticulous preparations to weld a connecting pipe to this new opening.
For scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading and unloading or where media overflow is not permissible, it is essential to incorporate a ball valve. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
A hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be crafted in the pipeline, followed by thorough preparations to weld a connecting pipe to the new opening.

To ensure the proper functioning and accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter, the straight pipe sections must meet the requirements of 5D upstream and 3D downstream.

The measurement principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter remains unaffected by the characteristics of the flow itself.
Even if turbulence and vortices are generated in the non-measurement area of the pipeline (such as at elbows, tangential throttling, or partially open shut-off valves upstream), it will not influence the measurement.

However, steady-state vortices in the measurement area will impact the stability and accuracy of the readings.
In such cases, measures should be adopted to stabilize the flow distribution:

  1. Increase the length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
  2. Employ a flow stabilizer.
  3. Reduce the cross-sectional area at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the External Environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or exposure to high-temperature radiation from equipment. If installation in such areas is unavoidable, appropriate insulation and ventilation measures must be implemented.
    2. Indoor installation is preferable for the flowmeter. If outdoor installation is necessary, ensure the device is shielded from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with adequate moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in environments containing corrosive gases. If required, ensure proper ventilation measures are in place.
    4. Ample installation space should be provided around the flowmeter to facilitate easy installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. The installation site should be free from magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. In cases of significant pipeline vibration, supports should be added on both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize the pipeline.

1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, specific lengths for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections of the flowmeter are necessary. Installation close to control valves and partially open valves should be avoided, or a straightener can be installed.

2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes The flowmeter necessitates specific conditions for upstream and downstream process pipes to ensure accurate measurement: a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should match the sensor's inner diameter, meeting the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the inner diameter of the sensor, and D is the inner diameter of the process pipe). b. The process pipe and the sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance of our Anti-Vibration Flowmeter with Good Repeatability and Wireless Transmission, the installation of a bypass pipe is highly recommended. This becomes especially critical when dealing with heavily contaminated fluids and scenarios where the flowmeter needs cleaning without halting the fluid flow. a. Simplifies the maintenance process of the flowmeter. b. Essential for managing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Allows cleaning of the flowmeter without interrupting fluid flow.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Straight Pipe Section Requirements For optimal performance, the inlet and outlet straight pipe sections must adhere to the following specifications: Inlet should be ≥ 10×DN; Outlet should be ≥ 5×DN.

3.2. Grounding Point Requirements To guarantee reliable operation and enhanced measurement accuracy, the instrument should remain unaffected by external parasitic potentials. Ensuring good grounding of the sensor is crucial, with a grounding resistance of less than 10. (If the metal pipeline is adequately grounded, a dedicated grounding device is unnecessary.)

3.3. Installation Position Requirements Refer to the accompanying diagram for precise installation positioning.
