Installation Requirements

Piping condition
The installation of the Anti Vibration High Accuracy Vortex Flowmeter requires specific straight pipe sections both before and after the device, based on the pipe diameter (D). Here are the common scenarios:

The sensor must be placed on a pipe that is horizontal, vertical, or inclined (with liquid flowing from bottom to top) and matches the sensor's diameter. Ensure a straight pipe length of 15-20D upstream and 5-10D downstream of the sensor.
2.
The pipe near the liquid sensor must be filled with the liquid being measured.
3.
Avoid installing the sensor on pipes that experience strong mechanical vibrations.
4.
The inner diameter of the straight pipe should match the sensor's diameter as closely as possible. If not, use a slightly larger diameter pipe with a tolerance of ≤3% and not exceeding 5mm. Do not install the sensor in locations with strong electromagnetic interference, limited space, or where maintenance is inconvenient..
5.
Horizontal pipeline installation is the most common. When measuring gas flow with minor liquid content, place the sensor at a higher point in the pipeline. For liquid flow with minor gas content, install the sensor at a lower point.
6.
For vertical pipeline installations, the sensor can be placed on a vertical line without flow direction restrictions. If measuring gas with minor liquid content, the flow should be bottom-up. For liquid flow, ensure bottom-up direction to avoid extra weight on the probe.
7.
Side installation on horizontal pipelines is suitable for superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. Side mounting is preferred when possible to minimize temperature effects on the amplifier.
8.
Avoid inverted installation on horizontal pipelines unless measuring saturated steam, high-temperature liquids, or in cases requiring frequent cleaning, as it is not suitable for general gases or superheated steam.
9.
For pipelines with insulation layers measuring high-temperature steam, ensure the insulation does not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
Selection of pressure and temperature measurement points: Place the pressure measurement point 3-5D downstream of the sensor and the temperature measurement point 6-8D downstream, based on measurement requirements.
