The metal rotor flowmeter is a cornerstone in industrial and laboratory settings, thanks to its straightforward design, user-friendly operation, minimal pressure loss, and ease of maintenance. It is ideally crafted for the accurate measurement of small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is an advanced variable area flow measuring instrument that precisely gauges the float's position to deliver accurate flow readings.

It boasts an all-metal, robust structure with an innovative modular design. Its compact size ensures minimal pressure drop, offering a significant range ratio of 10:1.
Effortless to install and maintain, this instrument is the perfect choice for numerous industries, even under complex and challenging conditions.
Ideal for controlling the flow and processes of small flow rates and low velocities, it handles various demanding media conditions effortlessly.

A correct installation process is crucial for the optimal functioning of the metal rotor flowmeter. Key installation considerations include:

(1) Ensure vertical installation of the flowmeter, allowing the fluid to travel from bottom to top. Maintain a straight pipe section of five times the instrument's diameter at both the entry and exit points. For new installations, thoroughly flush the pipeline before installing the flowmeter.

(2) Place a valve upstream of the flowmeter and a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument's diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, install a filter upstream. If magnetic materials are present in the fluid, introduce a magnetic filter ahead of the flowmeter.

(3) To streamline maintenance and replacement, include a bypass pipeline during the instrument's installation.

(4) Keep the pipes and float clean, particularly when dealing with dirty media, to maintain optimal measurement accuracy.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter typically offers measurement accuracy at a level of 1.5. For applications requiring greater precision, consider alternatives that surpass the capabilities of a metal tube rotor flowmeter.
