The metal rotor flowmeter is widely recognized as a staple instrument in both industrial and laboratory settings. It boasts a straightforward design, user-friendly operation, minimal pressure loss, and easy maintenance. The rotor flowmeter excels in measuring small flow rates in pipes with a diameter of D.< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter serves as a variable area flow measuring instrument adept at precisely gauging the float position for accurate flow assessment.

Distinguished by its all-metal structure and innovative modular design, it boasts compact dimensions, minimal pressure loss, and an impressive range ratio of 10:1.

It proves invaluable in flow and process control for applications involving small flow rates, low velocities, and a multitude of demanding medium conditions.

Ensuring the correct installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial for its optimal performance. Consider these installation guidelines:

(1) The flowmeter should be installed vertically, ensuring the fluid flows upward through the flowmeter. Maintain a straight pipe section equal to five times the instrument diameter at both the inlet and the outlet. For newly installed pipelines, thoroughly flush the pipes before installation.

(2) Install a valve upstream of the flowmeter and position a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For small diameter instruments, a filter is recommended upstream. If magnetic materials are present in the fluid, install a magnetic filter before the flowmeter.

(3) To ensure seamless maintenance and easy replacement, incorporate a bypass pipeline during the instrument's installation.

(4) If the medium is particularly dirty, ensure timely and regular cleaning of both the pipes and the float for sustained efficiency.

(5) Typically, the measurement accuracy of the metal rotor flowmeter is pegged at a level of 1.5. For applications demanding higher accuracy, alternative flowmeter options should be considered.
