This high-precision, highly reliable flow meter has undergone continuous enhancements to achieve a leading position in the nation in areas such as excitation technology, lining technology, and intelligent technology. It adheres to standards like JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.

The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter varies depending on the site pipeline conditions. For non-pressurized pipelines, flowmeters without a ball valve can be installed, allowing for a seamless and effortless integration.
Create a hole with a diameter of 50 in the pipeline, and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to this opening, ensuring a precise and secure fit.
In scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading and unloading, or where media overflow is not allowed, a ball valve is essential. This necessitates the selection of an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
Create a hole with a diameter of 50 in the pipeline, and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to this opening, ensuring a precise and secure fit.

Ensure 5D upstream and 3D downstream straight pipe sections to guarantee the optimal performance and accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

The electromagnetic flowmeter operates independently of the flow characteristics, providing consistent and reliable measurement.
Even if turbulence or vortices occur in the non-measurement area of the pipeline (due to elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream), the measurement remains unaffected.

However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area can compromise the stability and accuracy of the readings.
In such cases, implement measures to stabilize the flow distribution:

  1. Extend the length of the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream.
  2. Utilize a flow stabilizer.
  3. Reduce the cross-sectional area at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the external environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or exposure to high-temperature radiation. If unavoidable, ensure proper insulation and ventilation.
    2. Prefer indoor installation for the flowmeter. If outdoor installation is necessary, protect it from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with adequate moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in environments with corrosive gases. If necessary, ensure proper ventilation.
    4. To facilitate installation, maintenance, and upkeep, ensure ample installation space around the flowmeter.
    5. The installation site should avoid magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. If the pipeline experiences significant vibration, support the flowmeter on both sides to stabilize the pipeline.

1.2. Pipeline-type electromagnetic flowmeter

2.1. Straight section requirements To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, maintain specific lengths for the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream; otherwise, it will affect measurement accuracy (a straightener can also be installed, and avoid installation close to control valves and partially open valves).

2.2. Process pipe requirements The flowmeter has specific requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point; otherwise, measurement accuracy will be affected. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should match that of the sensor: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the sensor's inner diameter, and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and the sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance of the flowmeter, it is highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. This becomes crucial for handling heavily contaminated fluids and situations where the flowmeter needs cleaning without interrupting the fluid flow. a. Facilitate maintenance procedures for the flowmeter. b. Essential for managing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Allows continuous fluid flow even during flowmeter cleaning.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections Inlet/Outlet Straight Pipe Sections: - Inlet: ≥ 10×DN - Outlet: ≥ 5×DN

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points To ensure the reliable and accurate operation of the instrument, external parasitic potentials must not affect it. Therefore, the sensor should be well-grounded with a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (Note: If the metal pipeline is already properly grounded, a dedicated grounding device is not needed.)

3.3. Requirements for Installation Position Refer to the accompanying diagram for detailed installation positioning.
