Flowmeters that are not equipped with a ball valve must be installed on non-pressurized pipelines, ensuring a seamless and efficient setup.
A precisely cut hole with a diameter of 50 mm should be made in the pipeline. Preparations must include welding a connecting pipe to this opening to ensure a secure installation.
For applications that necessitate uninterrupted flow during loading/unloading or where media overflow is strictly prohibited, a ball valve is essential. This mandates the selection of an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter featuring a ball valve structure.
A 50 mm diameter hole should be made in the pipeline, followed by welding a connecting pipe to the opening. This ensures a robust and leak-proof connection.

    1. The flowmeter should be installed in areas free from significant temperature fluctuations and high-temperature radiation. If unavoidable, implement insulation and ventilation measures to protect the device.
    2. Indoor installation is preferred for optimal performance. For outdoor installations, ensure the flowmeter is shielded from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight by employing moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid installing the flowmeter in locations where corrosive gases are present. If necessary, ensure proper ventilation to mitigate risks.
    4. Ample installation space around the flowmeter is essential for easy access during installation, maintenance, and routine checks.
    5. The installation site should be free from magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. In cases of significant pipeline vibrations, support structures should be added on both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize the pipeline.

1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To counteract the effects of vortices and distorted flow fields, specific straight pipe lengths upstream and downstream are required. This is critical for maintaining measurement accuracy. A flow straightener can also be installed, and it is advisable to avoid positioning near control valves or partially open valves.

2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes The electromagnetic flowmeter has strict requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point to ensure measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameter of these pipes should match that of the sensor, complying with 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the inner diameter of the sensor, and D is the inner diameter of the process pipe). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance of the IP67 Electromagnetic Flowmeter with High Precision and Threaded Mounting Options, installing a bypass pipe is highly recommended.
