The metal rotor flowmeter stands as one of the most widely utilized flowmeters in both industry and laboratory settings. Specifically crafted for accurately measuring small flow rates in pipelines with a diameter of D< 150 mm, and it can also measure the flow of corrosive media. When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

The metal rotor flowmeter, a marvel in variable area flow measurement, operates by precisely gauging the float's position.

This advanced instrument boasts a robust all-metal build paired with an innovative modular design. Compact in form yet powerful in functionality, it ensures minimal pressure loss and features a remarkable range ratio of 10:1.
Its simple installation and maintenance make it an indispensable choice across a myriad of industries, especially in demanding and harsh environments.
Designed for precise flow and process control, it excels in managing small flow rates and low velocities, even under the most challenging medium conditions.

Proper installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is critical to its optimal performance. Key considerations for installation include:

(1) The flowmeter must be mounted vertically, ensuring fluid flows from bottom to top. Maintain a straight pipe section equal to five times the instrument's diameter at both the inlet and outlet. For new pipelines, ensure thorough flushing prior to installation.

(2) An upstream valve is essential, complemented by a flow control valve 5 to 10 times the instrument's diameter downstream. For smaller instruments, install a filter upstream. Should the medium contain magnetic materials, a magnetic filter should precede the flowmeter.

(3) Incorporate a bypass pipeline to simplify maintenance and replacement procedures for the flowmeter.

(4) For media prone to contamination, regular cleaning of pipes and float is essential to ensure accuracy.

(5) With a measurement accuracy typically at 1.5, this flowmeter meets many needs; however, for superior precision demands, consider alternatives to the metal tube rotor flowmeter.
