The ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter consists of two essential parts: a sensor and a converter. Operating on the principle of Faraday's electromagnetic induction law, it precisely measures conductive fluids. This high-precision and highly reliable flow meter has undergone continuous upgrades and improvements, achieving a leading position in the nation regarding excitation technology, lining technology, and intelligent technology. It adheres to standards JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007.

Installation Instructions
 

The installation of the ANSI Electromagnetic Flowmeter from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. varies based on site pipeline conditions. For non-pressurized pipelines, choose a flowmeter design without a ball valve.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to the opening.
For continuous flow requirements or when media overflow is not permitted, incorporate a ball valve. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter equipped with a ball valve structure.

Turbulence and vortices in non-measurement areas (e.g., elbows, tangential throttling, or partially open shut-off valves upstream) do not impact measurement.

However, steady-state vortices in the measurement area do affect stability and accuracy.
In such cases, consider taking the following measures to stabilize flow distribution:

  1. Increase the length of upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
  2. Utilize a flow stabilizer.
  3. Reduce the measurement point's cross-section.
  1. Environmental Requirements for Installation
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or where it might be subjected to high-temperature radiation. If necessary, ensure insulation and ventilation.
    2. Prefer indoor installation for the flowmeter. If outdoor installation is unavoidable, protect it from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid environments with corrosive gases. If installation in such areas is necessary, implement proper ventilation measures.
    4. Ensure ample installation space around the flowmeter for ease of installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. Avoid magnetic fields and strong vibration sources at the installation site. If the pipeline has significant vibration, provide supports on both sides of the flowmeter to stabilize the pipeline.

2.1. Straight Section Requirements To mitigate the impact of vortices and flow field distortion, ensure specific lengths for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. Use a straightener and avoid proximity to control valves and partially open valves.

2.2. Process Pipe Requirements The flowmeter's installation point demands specific upstream and downstream process pipe conditions to ensure measurement accuracy: a. The upstream and downstream process pipes' inner diameters should match the sensor (0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN). b. Ensure the process pipe and sensor are concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance and efficiency of the ANSI Electromagnetic Flowmeter, installing a bypass pipe is highly recommended. Specifically, in scenarios dealing with heavily contaminated fluids or when cleaning the device without halting the fluid flow, a bypass pipe becomes essential. a. Facilitates seamless maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Mandatory for managing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Ensures continuous fluid flow during cleaning operations.

3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections Proper installation of straight pipe sections is pivotal for optimal flowmeter performance. The inlet should have a straight length of ≥ 10×DN, and the outlet should maintain a straight length of ≥ 5×DN.

3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points To guarantee the reliable operation and high measurement accuracy of the instrument, it must be shielded from external parasitic potentials. The sensor should have robust grounding with a resistance of less than 10 ohms. If the metal pipeline is adequately grounded, an additional grounding device is unnecessary.

3.3. Requirements for Installation Position Refer to the accompanying diagram for precise installation positioning.
