The ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter consists of two parts: a sensor and a converter. It operates based on Faraday's electromagnetic induction law and is used to measure conductive fluids. The ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter is a high-precision and highly reliable product that has been continuously upgraded and improved. This flow meter has achieved a leading level in the country in terms of excitation technology, lining technology, and intelligent technology, and complies with relevant standards such as JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007.

The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter by Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. varies based on the site pipeline conditions. For flowmeters without a ball valve, ensure they are installed on a non-pressurized pipeline. This installation method allows users to select flowmeters that do not require a ball valve.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline, then prepare to weld a connecting pipe to this opening to ensure a secure fit for the flowmeter.
For installations requiring continuous flow during loading/unloading or where no media overflow is permitted, include a ball valve. This setup necessitates the use of an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
Create a 50mm diameter hole in the pipeline, then prepare to weld a connecting pipe to this opening to ensure a secure fit for the flowmeter.

Turbulence and vortices in non-measurement areas, such as elbows or throttling points, will not affect the accuracy of the measurements.

However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area can impact the stability and accuracy of the readings.
To counteract this, consider the following measures to stabilize flow distribution:

  1. Extend the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream.
  2. Install a flow stabilizer to enhance flow consistency.
  3. Reduce the cross-sectional area at the measurement point.
  1. Requirements for the external environment
    1. Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or exposure to high-temperature radiation. If necessary, implement insulation and ventilation measures to protect the device.
    2. The optimal installation site for the flowmeter is indoors. For outdoor installations, ensure protection from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
    3. Avoid environments with corrosive gases. If installation in such environments is necessary, ensure proper ventilation measures are in place.
    4. Provide ample installation space around the flowmeter to facilitate easy installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
    5. Avoid installing the flowmeter near magnetic fields or strong vibration sources. For pipelines with significant vibration, stabilize the pipeline by providing supports on both sides of the flowmeter.

1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter

2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortions, adhere to the specified lengths for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. This will ensure measurement accuracy. If necessary, install a straightener and avoid proximity to control valves or partially open valves.

2.2. Requirements for the Process Pipes Ensure the upstream and downstream process pipes meet the following criteria to maintain measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameter should match that of the sensor (0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN, where DN is the sensor's inner diameter). b. Pipes and sensors must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.

2.3. 3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters

3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections To ensure optimal performance of the flowmeter, observe these straight pipe section guidelines: Inlet straight pipe section should be ≥ 10×DN, while the outlet straight pipe section should be ≥ 5×DN.

3.2. Grounding Point Requirements For the unwavering reliability and superior accuracy of the flowmeter, it is vital to minimize the influence of external parasitic potentials. The sensor must be well-grounded, ensuring a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (Note: If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a dedicated grounding device is not necessary.)

3.3. Installation Position Requirements Please refer to the provided diagram for detailed installation positioning to guarantee peak functionality.
