Piping condition
The installation of the vortex flowmeter requires a certain straight pipe section before and after it. The common situations are as follows (D is the diameter of the pipe):

The sensor should be installed on a horizontal, vertical, or inclined pipe (with the liquid flowing from bottom to top) that has the same diameter as the sensor. Ensure a specified length of straight piping both upstream (15-20D) and downstream (5-10D) from the sensor.

The pipe near the liquid sensor should always be filled with the measured liquid.
3.
Do not install the sensor on pipes experiencing strong mechanical vibrations.

The inner diameter of the straight pipe section should match as closely as possible to the sensor's diameter. If not, a slightly larger diameter pipe should be used, with an error margin of ≤3% and not exceeding 5mm. Avoid installing the sensor in areas with strong electromagnetic interference, limited space, or where maintenance is difficult..

Horizontal pipeline installation is the most common method. For gas flow containing a small amount of liquid, install the sensor at a high point. For liquid flow containing a small amount of gas, install the sensor at a low point in the pipeline.

Vertical pipeline installation. For gas flow measurement, the sensor can be installed on a vertical pipeline without flow direction restriction. If the gas contains a small amount of liquid, ensure the flow is from bottom to top. For liquid flow, ensure the flow is from bottom to top to avoid additional weight on the probe.
7.
Side installation on horizontal pipelines is suitable for measuring superheated steam, saturated steam, and low-temperature liquids. This method is recommended when conditions permit, as it minimizes the temperature impact on the amplifier.
8.
Inverted installation on horizontal pipelines is generally not recommended. It is unsuitable for measuring general gases or superheated steam but can be used for saturated steam, high-temperature liquids, or conditions requiring frequent pipeline cleaning.
9.
For pipelines with insulation layers measuring high-temperature steam, ensure the insulation does not exceed one-third of the bracket height.
10.
Select pressure and temperature measurement points based on your requirements. The pressure measurement point should be 3-5D downstream of the sensor, and the temperature measurement point should be 6-8D downstream.
