When in use, the flowmeter must be installed in a vertical section of the pipe, with the fluid medium flowing from the bottom to the top through the rotor flowmeter.

Installation:

The metal rotor flowmeter is a sophisticated variable area flow measuring instrument, expertly designed based on the measurement of the float position.

Boasting an all-metal structure and a modular design concept, this instrument is characterized by its compact size, minimal pressure loss, and an impressive range ratio of 10:1.
Its ease of installation and maintenance makes it a favored choice across diverse industries, even under the most complex and challenging environments.
Ideal for precision flow and process control, it handles small flow rates, low velocities, and demanding medium conditions with unmatched reliability.

Proper installation of the metal rotor flowmeter is crucial for ensuring its optimal performance. Key installation considerations include:

(1) The flowmeter must be set up vertically, ensuring the fluid flows from the bottom to the top through the device. It is essential to maintain a straight pipe section that is five times the instrument diameter at both the inlet and outlet. Thorough flushing of newly installed pipelines is necessary before installation.

(2) An upstream valve is required for the flowmeter, and a flow control valve should be positioned 5 to 10 times the instrument diameter downstream. For smaller diameter instruments, an upstream filter is necessary. If magnetic materials are present in the medium, a magnetic filter must precede the flowmeter.

(3) To facilitate ease of maintenance and convenient replacement, incorporating a bypass pipeline during installation is recommended.

(4) When dealing with a dirty medium, it is vital to clean the pipes and float promptly to maintain efficiency.

(5) The metal rotor flowmeter typically offers a measurement accuracy level of 1.5. For applications requiring higher precision, opting for a metal tube rotor flowmeter may not be the best choice.
